All manner of good news: Sales throughout the shop, fantastic local crafts (the furthest away is Camden, Maine, delivered by the artist herself coming home from a family trip. Thank you, Linda!) and an EVENT weekend featuring aura photos with Tim Bshara and tarot readings with Wendy Hagen. Too cool, too cool. The SGO Showroom is in its final renovation phase. The hood and fire suppression system are gone to Lost Acres Vineyard, the holes are patched, and the wall and ceiling primed. Paint will wait until we can get some fresh air for ventilation. But the room seems huge now, and we can stuff more crafts in for the holiday store. Enjoy the weather while it lasts, and I'll see you soon~~~
And here is the hood being removed by the fine folks of HoodTech. 8:30am, 3 men and a whole bunch of muscle. And several blades for the Sawz-All to cut out the steel duct work. In less than 2 hours, the room seemed to grow by one-third; that is seriously how much room it took up both visually and dangling from the overhead (you just couldn't walk under it.) And smelly- it just couldn't be cleaned thoroughly, no matter the boiling water, Simple Green, and Citra-Solv used. Fresher air- oh yeah!
